Who or What is NWIRC?

  
 
The Northwest Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center (NWIRC) is a private, non-profit economic development corporation working to improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized manufacturers in Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Jefferson, McKean, Mercer, Potter, Venango, and Warren counties. The NWIRC is supported by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Office of Science Technology & Workforce and the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Manufacturing Extension Partnership.

NWIRC's goal is to improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized manufacturers through the implementation of World Class Manufacturing practices.

As the region's industrial extension organization, the NWIRC works in partnership with area firms to identify projects that will improve quality, productivity, profitability, and competitive position. The center offers both financial and technical assistance.
