Who or What is MRC?

Mission

To help small and mid-size manufacturers enhance their ability to compete successfully by providing them with consulting, education and strategic partnering.

History

The Manufacturers Resource Center (MRC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1988. We assist small and mid-size manufacturers in improving their productivity and quality, lowering their costs and advancing their competitiveness using state-of-the-art technologies and proven business techniques. MRC assistance can be in one of six forms:
  • Assessment/benchmarking
  • Problem solving/management consulting
  • Specific one-on-one assistance
  • Specialized training
  • Resource location and coordination
  • Group activities/users groups
  • Grant application facilitation
We are one of seven Industrial Resource Centers funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, which gives us an advantage of being the first stop for any programs and funds available through the state.

Our headquarters is located in Bethlehem, PA and we also have offices in Jim Thorpe and Reading, PA.  Our service area includes Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Northampton and Schuylkill counties.

We are also affiliated with the National Institute of Standards and Technology Manufacturing Extension Partnership of 70 centers nationwide, which ties us to a huge network of experts on any topic, the national labs and federal funding resources.
